His death was unexpected and mysterious — an unidentified illness that court physicians could neither diagnose nor cure. Official story remains “natural causes / sudden illness.” Quiet rumors speak of poison, magical sabotage, or something “sour.” The investigation was still incomplete when the emergency succession was called.
